She was arrested in kenya for selling stolen cars in Nigeria, she has never owned a car, and she is from Kenya and never being in Nigeria. All documents and transaction points to her and the judge verdict is 6 years in prison.
They steal id cards especially ladies ids, and then replace just your photo in the id with a photo of a lady in their group. They buy sim-cards and register them under your name, id/no, giving all the details in your id. The id is then being used to do massive money transfers, taking loans, withdraw your savings, arrange bad deals and other enormous corrupt/stealing. Then come police and you the one to be held responsible and would be hard to prove otherwise.
Last week a lady went to her bank account just to find 240USD {192,000 KSHS} missing. And the bank says she withdrew it, they even have a print out of a slip with her details.
If you lost your id, be very scared that somebody else may as well be using it.
